I am so happy and so very grateful to hone my skills of my passion for the whitetail deer every month of the year on the properties I hunt, and the properties of my clients. I love writing and speaking about what I do, and have been blessed to write blogs and do podcasting interviews for various outdoor forums and websites. And I absolutely love sharing my proven habitat techniques with my clients.

I was first introduced to hunting in 1984, at age 6, when my dad let me tag along on an evening hunt on the first day of the Wisconsin Archery season. And I can honestly say that I haven't missed a season since even though I couldn't legally harvest a deer until age 12.

I grew up on my grandfather's dairy farm in west central Wisconsin, and eventually took over the diary cattle end after graduating from high school. I farmed full time with my older brother, Glay, until 2011 and I absolutely loved that part of my life. But my absolute passion for whitetails never left.

I had always learned and implemented little tricks and philosophies from successful industry leaders throughout my whitetail hunting career. After garnering more consistent results in my own success throughout the 2000s, I started to simply share these same tricks and philosophies with family and friends.

In 2013 I met a Habitat manager by the name of Jeff Sturgis. He was invited out by my good friends to do a consultation for them, and I was fortunate enough to be asked to tag along. Little did I know then the impact that consultation would have on my life. I learned so much from that day long visit that I went to work immediately on my family's property. I had begun experiencing even more success right away that very next season. Born out of that success, along with my partner, Casey Hayden, who joined me for hunting in 2014, I came to form what is known today as Epic Whitetail Habitat, LLC.

Unfortunately in early May of 2022 we lost our good friend and partner, Casey, to an unspecified medical condition while he and his son were fishing in Northern Wisconsin. His wisdom and knowledge will never be replace. But we will continue to press forward in his memory.

Today, my wife, Becky & I, along with our 4 children, reside in West Central Wisconsin just minutes from where I was raised and where our main hunting properties remain. We love to travel and do many outdoor activities that we love doing as a family. My 3 sons love to help on habitat projects whenever they can. And my two younger children make occasional cameo appearances in my YouTube videos. Needless to say, we love the outdoor and hunting lifestyle.
